SPF record generator

Tick the services that send email for you and copy a ready-to-paste SPF record. Load your current record to start from it, and we'll merge any duplicates.

Which services send email from this domain?

Tick your mailbox provider and every service that sends newsletters, receipts or notifications as you.

Paste the include from any other service's help page. Separate several with spaces.

Only if a service gave you IP addresses instead of an include.

Your record

Add this in your domain's DNS settings (where you bought the domain, or Cloudflare). If a record of this kind is already there, edit it rather than adding a second one.

    Before you paste it in

You can only have one SPF record per domain. If you already have one, replace it with this one rather than adding a second.

The generator counts DNS lookups as you go. Keep the total under 10, or inboxes will treat the record as broken.

How to add your SPF record

    1. Copy the record

Use the Copy button so nothing gets cut off.

    2. Open the DNS settings for your domain

This is usually where you bought the domain.

    3. Add or edit the TXT record at @

Some providers ask for the host as @, others want it left blank. Paste the value and save.

    4. Check it

Run the SPF checker. Most changes show up within an hour.

    Questions

My service isn't in the list. What do I add?

Find the include your service gives in its help pages (it looks like include:spf.example.com) and paste it into Other includes.

Do I need to tick my website server?

Only if your website sends email itself, such as contact form messages, from your domain.

The record is over 255 characters. Is that a problem?

Most DNS providers split long records for you. If yours complains, paste it in as two quoted parts.
